The Loopweaver’s Corner

May 16th, 2008

Hello and Welcome. Today is Monday, September 1, 2008.  Labor Day, a special holiday in U.S.A. We celebrate all the workers in America. Here in Oregon, it was a pleasant, peaceful, and quiet day. The kittens are no longer kittens, they’ve been growing so quickly that they are young adult cats. But still amazingly playful and fun.

The loopweaving work goes on. I’ve been busy working on some new fall patterns, Im hoping to have them available soon. Thank you for all of the wonderful comments we continue to receive here at our website in spite of the delays we’ve encountered  in getting more information to our members.

A personal welcome some of our recent new members Nadia from Egypt, Betty from Puerto Rico, Doreen from Iowa, Val from the United Kingdom, Susanne from Sweden, Bonnie from Tenn. U.S.A, Kathleen from Kansas, Victoria from Australia, Connie from Oregon, Sandy from Texas, Betti from Florida, Chantal from France, Khebhin from South Carolina, Carry from Georgia, U.S.A. and for all of those I didn’t get a chance to mention, thanks to all of you for joining. Each morning I check in on every single email from new members and review each one. You are all special to my sisters and myself regardless of where you live. To us you are all our Global neighbors. So please do keep in touch. Let me know how it’s going or if we can be of some help during the process of learning to loopweave.

If you haven’t been to the “Loopweavers Corner” yet please go and check it out. This section of our website is dedicated exclusely to our members. For those of you reading this who aren’t members yet… what’s stopping you? Becoming a member is free and will always be free. And learning how to loopweave will always be free too. So come and see what it’s all about.

Also If you like what you see I’d be most grateful for those of you who can help me get the word out about loopweaving; in the community you live in, on-line forums, blogs and so on. Thank you in advance for giving the new craft of loopweaving a helping hand in becoming known.

A monday morning

April 28th, 2008

Hello, it’s a monday morning up here on Mountain Top where I live. Not really mountains. The Chehalem Mountains are more like large hills. Still beautiful though.

Have you ever noticed how sometimes the day of the week decides how you’re going to feel. You look forward to Friday because the weekend follows and perhaps some time to laze around, or be creative after the chores are done. And then of course Monday comes and for many it’s back to work trying to cram too many things into a single day. The seasons can have an effect also. Which is why spring is one of my favorite seasons. On this monday morning I’d like to take just a minute and thank all the people that are signing up as members. It’s just great. I’m lagging in getting new patterns to those of you who’ve been waiting so this week I’m going to make a special effort to get more written and on-line. It is very hard for me to write down instructions of how-to’s because I create just by working with the yarn until something beautiful and new appears. Pure creativity. I love it. So this week rather than being quite so creative I’m going to put my energy into the patterns. Oh, one more thing check my interview in the press releases and articles section. It talks about the differences between crocheting and loopweaving. Have a nice week and happy looping!

Its Spring

April 8th, 2008

Hello Loopweavers,

Up here on Mountain Top (The Chehalem Mountains where I live) spring is finally beginning to show itself. We had more snow than I like to think about this winter. My cat Suki is especially happy that it’s warming up and not so wet and cold out. She loves to hunt around the hill side for field mice. As for me, I’m just glad to see the flowers beginning to bloom. Lots of pretty yellow daffodils.

This week I’ll be crafting some beginner projects for loopweaving members with yarns in bright spring colors, especially yellow. Be sure to check them out (later this week) and remember I’m here to help if you have any questions. And thanks again for all the warm and friendly emails I’ve been receiving from new loopweavers everywhere.
